About Gymnastics Reborn

Gymnastics Reborn is a family-run, not-for-profit gymnastics club offering high-quality gymnastics classes for children aged 3 and above. Based at our centres in Pulloxhill and Bedford, we are committed to developing confident, skilled, and happy gymnasts in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

The club was founded in October 2020 by Paul Newton, a former gymnast who began the sport at the age of five and progressed through the competitive pathway to national-level competition. During his own gymnastics journey, Paul experienced a wide range of coaching styles—some positive, but others outdated and, at times, harmful.

When Paul transitioned into coaching, he became firmly committed to a different approach: one where the gymnast is always at the centre of decision-making. After coaching in a variety of clubs and gaining extensive experience, Paul identified ongoing concerns around transparency, safeguarding practices, and a lack of truly athlete-centred coaching. As a result, Gymnastics Reborn was created to do things differently.

The name Gymnastics Reborn reflects this philosophy—a fresh start for gymnastics built on respect, care, and best practice. Safeguarding, transparency, and child-first coaching sit at the heart of everything we do.

We actively encourage parental involvement and openness. Parents are able to view sessions through observation windows, CCTV (at our Pulloxhill centre), seating around the gym floor (in Bedford), as well as through regular watching weeks, parent participation sessions, competitions, and club events. We believe that trust, communication, and visibility are essential to creating a positive gymnastics experience.

At Gymnastics Reborn, our aim is not just to develop strong gymnasts—but confident young people who enjoy the sport in a healthy, supportive environment.
